Situation #1
With no heater installed, when you have a turbine down all night, the oil will reach the ambient outside temperature. If that is (20°F), then even when the technician does come in and fix the turbine, the turbine will not start due to the hydraulic oil temperature being below the permissive to start (<5°C = 41°F).

situation #2
With our heater installed, when you have a turbine down all night, the oil will stay above (60°F), never reaching the ambient outside temperature. Even if that temperature is (5°F), when a technician does fix the turbine, the turbine will start to produce because the hydraulic oil temperature will be above the permissive to start (<5°C = 41°F)
3
situation #3
It is 10°F outside, and you have a tower down with no heater installed. Without the heater, you could need to wait days until the outside temperature rises enough to clear the error
4
situation #4
It is 10°F outside. You decide to install the heater; that job can take up to 2 hours with gathering tools, completing the JSA, and LOTO paperwork. In less than 4 hours, the hydraulic oil will be above (5°C = 41°F), and the tower will begin to produce power.
